Where's the rug?

Did it ever make it through the Knitting Circle?

Was it given to its recipient?

Joy, are you there? Please let us know what happened!

Sadly, I have no idea where the rug is, which is why I didn't start on the second one. This was meant to be done in the space of a year so a little girl could be holding onto it by the winter. I tried and I tried to chase it up but unfortunately it only takes one or two people to break the chain and the hard work we put in is for nothing. When the project was active I was working full time, studying part time and the mother of an 18m old. I didn't have time to keep chasing and chasing, and honestly I didn't expect I'd have to seeing as everyone signed up with the promise to do their bit and pass it on to the next person so that a child who wasn't having a great start to life would feel loved and warmed from our efforts.

If anyone reading this is holding the rug in their WIP pile somewhere, I would gladly accept it back annonymously, and either finish it myself or pas it on to those who may still be eagerly awaiting to knit their bit. Please post a commebnt so that I may contact you and get the rug going again.

I still have a sour taste in my mouth from this one, and would seriously think twice before organising anything like it again.

I am sorry that for whatever reason(s) someone has broken the chain of knitting goodwill. But I am sure we are not alone in wanting a happy ending to this saga. Good luck!
